Stepping up

After 7-8 months of working at Thaspa as one of the Beauty Therapist, I can say that I have found where I am meant to be. I love it there and the girls and clients (well most of them) are lovely. I can see myself being there for years now its just a case of learning and growing as a therapist and an individual.

in saying that this also means I have got a letter from Centrelink stating that I am no longer on New Start Allowance as I have reported  12 weeks and continuing income over the allowance limit!! I have been waiting for this day for so long. No longer do I need to report, no longer do I need to be job searching 10 jobs a fortnight!! no longer do I need to worry about doing something wrong by them and getting my payments cut. I am set. I it is time to work out what is going to happen with Joshua so he can also get off Centrelink!!

Success in 2014

Today is the 22nd day in the first month of the year and I have already accomplished a few of my new years resolutions and I have made process in my career.

I have gained my full licence!! I can finally relax and not worry about doing any more tests to get to the next level in driving, I am at the top level nothing but clear skies from here.

I am finally putting together a workout routine for the gym so I will be more focus and will be going there more often. Mondays I will be training my arms/chest/back Tuesday-Wednesday Cardio Thursday-Friday I am still working out if I will be going because of work and Saturday Legs. Now that is just the basic structure of it I must mix it up or do more than one thing I day depending on how I am feeling as there are a lot of classes I can take and I want to try them all and work out which ones I like the most and which ones I do not like at all and mix them up in my routine.

the biggest news of this post. I am moving up in my job!! I had a chat with work today and found out that one of the other girls is leaving us to go off and do her own thing and because of that they need someone to fill her extra hours and they will bring someone else in and take my old hours. This couldn't of come at a better time with us moving out and any extra money is always welcome. Also they want to give my more responsibility at work which is awesome!! be nice being the new girl anymore.

Trying To Keep The Peace

So recently it seems that I have been having some issues with certain people in my life and who they are to me I cant just kick them out of my life. I have tried to talk things through with them and trying to get them to see it from my point of view and how they are making me feel but they either just shrug it off, take it too personally or say that its none of my business and to stay out of it. I know that with some of it they really don't know they are doing it but it still hurts. So I just keep it inside now and let them be.

I know I shouldn't be keeping it inside but I am not completely I do tell my husband what happens and he can see it too so we have each other to work things out and calm me down.

Do you have someone in your life that even though you cannot stand them you have to keep them in your life... Mother, Sibling, Father, Teacher, Colleague or even your Boss? What do you do to help you get through it or have you just declared that they are dead to you?

I have gotten to the point of looking on the Internet for help. I have found some tips

1. forgot the past - take it one day at a time but forgot the past and all they have done.

2. Laugh it off - Rise above the petty arguments and the unloving comments don't take the advice or nitpicking too seriously, in they eyes they think they know what's best for you.

3. keep it short and sweet - you don't have to spend a lot of time with them especially if you don't need too. plan your day, plan what you are going to say so then it comes time to talk to them that you can say what needs to be said and then say you need to go with insert important event that can only be done that day, don't just leave.

4. Remember its not always you -  The reasons to why the person is acting the way they do to you may not be your fault at all, it could be something that they are going through and the only way they can cope may seem rude on the outside to you but really on the inside they are hurting more then you will ever know.

Keep these things in mind when you are faced with someone or a group of people that just don't seem to be giving you a break!

I am turning 24 years old this year, a little scary but also exciting.I have booked my full licence test, I am looking to get my career to where I want it to be.

The End Of The Year Is Here

It has come to this time of year again when everyone is starting to think how the year has gone and what they did in it.

Some may think about where they want their life to be or how they see themselves and if life is not ideal to what they are wanting, this is the time of year where everyone seems to try and change things.

Some people do end up changing themselves or their life for the better but there are a lot that start and within the first month - 5 months they stop doing it.

Its not that I personally don't believe in new years resolutions myself but I find that I am one of the person at the end of the year not being able to tick off anything I set out to do.

This year I have been able to tick of a few but not everything, not the ones that I have had of my list for years and I have recently found five tips that can help with having new years resolutions and keeping them until the end of the year and having them all done.

1. Tell your friends and family about your goals - This way you have people that can help by checking if you are on track and giving you support where ever you need it.

2. Get a friend [or lots of friends] involved - This is most like the first tip but also get make things fun example: trying to lose weight with friends can make things a lot more fun and enjoyable then doing it alone.

3. Write everything down: your goals, your progress, how your feeling etc. - It's good to have how things are going written down just so you can see if everything is going the way it should and if anything needs to be re-assisted.

4. PLAN! - planning ahead with help you stay of track and keep your goals. having more than just the title down example: 1. MOVING OUT. have a plan down that you can achieve this. example: look for suitable places, making sure you are financially ready, etc.

5. Reward yourself with "good behaviour" with things that help you relax - little mile stones along your journey to what ever your destination is giving yourself little rewards or reminders that you are on the right path and your closer to your goal than you were at the beginning.

I hope that when you start to fill out your new years resolutions that you think about these five tips and 1 last thing be realistic! yes its good to dream big but if your goals are not realistic you well get deterred and stop so keep that in mind and that by the end of 2014 you can be proud of yourself for achieving what you set out to do at the start of the year.

It's Game Time

And Genesis Fitness gym is the winner!!. So about a month ago I ended up joining a gym. I have do a few classes and had two personal training sessions but I haven't really gotten into the gym might as I go alone and haven't really been shown how to use things.

Luckily I know someone that goes there and we are starting to go together, she is showing me how to use certain machines at a time and soon I will be able to use the equipment by myself and I will feel more confident going alone.

The biggest loser challenge is still going ahead we have about 5 weeks left to go before we find out who has won. I have stayed for the same weight range for about a month now and that it really sucks. I am hoping that in the next few week because I am going to the gym I will be able to kick this and start losing more weight. I kind of figured that I am not going to win but I think for a personal goal I want to be in the 80s by the final which is about 5-6kgs.

Baking Time!

Trying to be more creative and with the house warming party coming up I am looking at ideas that people have done to celebrate. I have seen some house shaped cookies wrapped up with the new address on a tag and think that is really cool. I am not sure if I will be able to found the cookies already made from a store somewhere but I think it would be more fun in the end to make them myself even if it might bring on a little bit more stress if things don't go to plan.

I am looking at different recipes to see how I am going to make these cookies. Do you have a favourite recipe you use when baking cookies?
